What is inspected in a RWC?
A roadworthy inspection mainly covers the major safety related items, including:
– wheels and tyres
– steering, suspension and braking systems
– seats and seat belts
– lamps and reflectors
– windscreen, and windows including front windscreen wipers and washers
– the structure of the vehicle itself
– other safety related items on the body, chassis or engine.
How long does a certificate last?
What if I had a problem with the inspection or certificate of my vehicle?
(Please note Auto Traders Direct does not hold a RWC license tester – RWC are obtained by third party.
1. Check first that the component in question is a roadworthiness inspection item.
Contact the tester who issued the certificate and explain your concerns. In many cases the problem will be resolved.
2. If you have not resolved the issue, obtain an independent inspection from another licensed tester to support your claim and present a copy of this to the first tester.
3. If the independent inspection confirms your concerns and the original tester will not cooperate, then contact the Vic Roads Vehicle Fitness Section on 1800 816 727 or 13 11 71, or send a written complaint with supporting documents to Vic Roads, Vehicle Fitness Section, 1st Floor, 3 Prospect Hill Road, Camberwell, 3124.

How are claims made?
Whilst under the protection of an Integrity warranty, where can I have my car serviced and repaired?
You may have your car serviced and repaired at:
the motor dealer who sold you the car
a service center approved by us Note: all repairs or work must first obtain approval from the Integrity Warranty Claims department before commencement.
What if I want my mechanic to service my car?
Provided your mechanic or service center operates from a registered business, is registered for GST and is listed as a service center in the phone directory, your mechanic may carry out all regular routine services without any risk to your warranty entitlement.
If I wish to sell my car whilst still under an Integrity warranty is the warranty transferable?
Yes, all Integrity Warranties are transferable* to the new owner of the vehicle which may improve the resale value when it’s time to sell. * A transfer and administration fee applies.

What happens if my car has a warranty claim whilst I am interstate?
Integrity Warranties offer protection wherever you are in Australia. Simply have your repairer call the Integrity Warranty Claims department on our Free call number and we will communicate directly with your repairer without the need for claim forms. We will even pay the repairer directly.
How long will an Integrity warranty cover my vehicle for?
In the case of options A, B, C & D cover you have a choice of the length of cover your warranty will apply for – either 12, 36, or 60 months: In the case of option E – Manufacturers Type cover you have a choice of the length of cover your warranty will apply for – either 12 months or 25,000kms (whichever occurs first), 24 months or 50,000kms (whichever occurs first) or 36 months or 75,000kms (whichever occurs first), although depending on the make and age and mileage of your vehicle at the time of purchase some options are not available. The Integrity warranty is not renewable once it expires and can only be purchased at the time you purchase a vehicle from an approved Integrity warranty motor dealer.
Are there any restrictions on mileage whilst under cover?
In the case of options A, B, C & D cover there are no mileages restrictions whilst under cover. These warranty options are unlimited kilometer cover. In the case of option E – Manufacturers Type cover there are the following mileage restrictions; 12 month cover is limited up to 25,000kms, 24 months cover is limited up to 50,000kms and 36 months cover is limited up to 75,000kms.

In the case of Affinity cover option E – Manufacturers Type cover you have a choice of the length of cover your warranty will apply for – either 12 months or 25,000kms (whichever occurs first), 24 months or 50,000kms (whichever occurs first) or 36 months or 75,000kms (whichever occurs first), although depending on the make, age and mileage of your vehicle at the time of purchase some options may not be available.
Can I renew my warranty when it expires?
The Integrity warranty is not renewable once it expires and can only be purchased at the time you purchase a vehicle from an approved Integrity warranty motor dealer.
Can I purchase a vehicle privately and then buy a warranty from Integrity or a motor dealer ?
No, Integrity warranties are a dealer only product and can only be purchased at the time you purchase a vehicle from an approved Integrity warranty motor dealer. Integrity does not sell warranties direct to the public.
Are there any restrictions on mileage whilst under cover ?
In the case of Affinity cover options A, B, C & D cover there are no limits on how far your vehicle can travel whilst under warranty.
In the case of Affinity cover option E – Manufacturers Type cover you have mileage limitations which vary with each length of cover. For example our 12 months cover limits provides cover for 25,000kms (whichever occurs first), 24 months for 50,000kms (whichever occurs first) or 36 months for 75,000kms (whichever occurs first) ie 25,000kms per year of cover.
Do I have to pay an excess (deductible) for Integrity Warranty covered repairs ?
Some warranty companies impose unfair servicing intervals on owners, what are Integrity's service intervals?
In the case of Affinity cover options A, B & C the most you will need to service your vehicle is every 6 months or 10,000kms, whichever occurs first unless your vehicle manufacturer requires a more frequent service interval.
In the case of Affinity cover options D and E you need to service your vehicle at intervals in accordance with your vehicle manufacturer’s service recommendations.
